Abstract

Malaria is a major public health problem especially in tropical and subtropical regions around the world with varied hematological consequences. Thrombocytopenia is common in the laboratory finding among patients with malaria. Mechanism of thrombocytopenia in malaria is till now not clearly known. In this review we try to evaluate the presence of thrombocytopenia during malaria as valuable Indicator tool for presence of Malaria.
