Abstract

The allylzincation of various vinyl metals can be performed at low temperatures. If the vinylic partner bears a chiral center, the addition occurs diastereoselectively, and allows the creation of two or three adjacent centers in a syn or anti relationship, according to the geometry (E or Z) of the vinyl metallic reagent. © 1992 IUPAC
