Abstract

Novel chiral bisoxazoline ligands based on norbornadiene were synthesized and used for the asymmetric Henry reaction. Various aromatic aldehydes were converted into chiral β -nitro alcohols with high yields and moderate to acceptable enantioselectivities under the optimized reaction conditions.
