Sobre justiça: lições de Platão, Rawls e Ishiguro

Abstract

Nesse ensaio, Fraser elabora uma reflexão sobre a justiça a partir dos escritos de Platão, Rawls e Ishiguro. Por meio de uma análise crítica de Não me abandone jamais, Fraser procura extrair do romance de Ishiguro proposições práticas para nossa realidade cotidiana. Segundo a autora, uma sociedade justa deve desconstruir mecanismos sociais excludentes que, ao restringir o âmbito dos sujeitos de justiça a apenas um grupo social, impedem o tratamento equânime de todas as pessoas.Proceeding from the writings of Plato, Rawls and Ishiguro, Fraser offers in this essay a new reflection on justice. Through a critical analysis of Never let me go, Fraser seeks to draw from Ishiguro's novel some practical precepts for our everyday life. According to her, a just society must deconstruct excluding social procedures that restrict the realm of subjects of justice to only one social group, thereby precluding fair treatment among all persons.
