Abstract

The temp.-dependent dielec. response and cond. at .simeq.1010 Hz is reported for the title compd., (NMP)x(Phen)1-x(TCNQ), for 0.50 ≤ x ≤ 0.59, spanning the commensurate, bipolaron, and incommensurate regimes. The large and strongly temp.-dependent dielec. const. and σ(1010 Hz) are accounted for by a model based on the dynamics of pinned charge-d. waves and the presence of relatively mobile charged bipolarons (confined soliton pairs) in the commensurate phase.
