Abstract
The existence of the media in the learning process is essential for creating an energetic and interested learning process for students. However, there is still a significant amount to task to be completed. Teachers still conducted learning process in the conventional way, without any variation or presence of media in the classroom. This research was conducted as a form of contributing and developing learning media, particularly for the grade IV Bahasa Indonesia subject. This research designed with utilization of Design and Development (D&D) method with the ADDIE model to develop monopoly fiction text (Montisi) learning media. Participants in the research included media experts, material and language experts, 14 fourth-graders, and a fourth grade teacher at SD Negeri 42 Tanjungpandan, Belitung. According to the validation questionnaire, the assessment of media experts was 93% (Very Good). Assessment from material and language experts got 96% (Very Good) scoring score. The assessment or response from grade IV teachers is 96% (Very Good) and from grade IV students got an average response of Very Good. The outcomes of the observations also demonstrated that students become enganged, enthusiastic, and active while using Montisi media. Based on the data, Montisi's learning media for Indonesian subjects, fiction text material is suitable for fourth grade students of SD Negeri 42 Tanjungpandan, Belitung.
