Abstract

This study aimed at understanding the main needs of prostitute's life activities that work in Fortaleza,CE, Brazil. Study of qualitative approach conducted with six prostitutes who had previously identified changes on gynecological consultation of nursing. The Model of Life Activity was used as the theoretical mark and a semi-structured interview, with a focus in life activities that showed changes. The interviews were conducted on September and October 2007, in the work places of prostitutes. The results showed the main vulnerabilities and events decisive for the maintenance for prostitute's life quality. The used model facilitated the holistic approach of caring, showing it is capable of being adapted to the various people attended.
