Abstract

Academic achievement is said to one of the major achievement in life. It is education\rthat determines and contributes to the level of prosperity, welfare and security of the\rpeople. It also contributes to happiness, satisfaction, comfort and well being of the\rindividual. The present study aims to assess the level of academic achievement and\rcomparison of academic performance of 13-15 year old children on the basis of sociopersonal\rvariables. Representative sample of 209 higher secondary school students\rwere selected. The study revealed significant differences in academic achievement of\radolescent’s on the basis of academic class and paternal occupation. There was no\rsignificant difference in academic achievement of boys and girls as well as in rural andurban area’s adolescents.
