Abstract
This article discusses how the skills of detecting and remembering sequences are related to reading. It also deals with some experimental evidence which indicates that dyslexies fail in remembering sequential information. It is argued that the ability to detect and remember sequential information is especially important to the learning-to-read process and is implicated in errors of reversal.
