Abstract

O artigo pretende analisar o processo inquisitorial da beata Josefa do Sacramento, irmã da Ordem Terceira do Carmo, sentenciada pelo Tribunal da Inquisição do Santo Ofício de Lisboa em 1732, sob a acusação de molinismo. Pretende-se: contextualizar o processo mencionado no campo religioso do período; analisar as relações que as irmãs terceiras beatas mantinham com seus confessores e diretores espirituais; analisar os delitos de heresia de que eram acusadas; e analisar o conjunto das práticas religiosas das beatas envolvidas, vinculando-as a modelos de santidade e à literatura mística difundida aos fiéis.this article intends to analyse the inquisitorial process of Blessed Josefa do Sacramento, sister of The Third Order of Carmel, judged by the Holy Office of Inquisition of Lisbon in 1732, on charges of molinism. The aim is to contextualize the mentioned process in the religious field of the period as well as to analyse the relationships that blessed third sisters kept with confessors and spiritual directors and the heretical crimes which they were accused of and, finally, to analyse the set of religious practices of the blessed woman involved, linking them to the models of sanctity and the mystical literature widespread to believers.
