PRINCÍPIOS DE SEMIOTÉCNICA E DE INTERPRETAÇÃO DO EXAME CLÍNICO DO ABDÔMEN

Abstract

The aim of this article was to provide medical students with basic knowledgement about how to perform and interpretate the clinical examination of the abdomen. In order to reach this aim we discussed 28 itens proposed by the coordination of the course of semiology of the Department of Medicine - School of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo University. The article comprehend the main topics of inspection, auscultation, palpation and percussion of the abdomen.
