Abstract
In October 2010, I attended Deloitte’s Analytics Symposium, which—as the name suggests—focused on analytics. Tom Davenport, a well-known consultant and Babson College professor of management and IT, was a featured speaker, along with Jane Griffin and other Deloitte partners, principals, and managers. The presentations and off-line discussions provided many frameworks, examples, and insights into the current and future state of analytics. The symposium was also used to announce the creation of Deloitte’s Analytics Institute as well as a Deloitte and Kelly School of Business (Indiana University) graduate certificate program in analytics.
