EL RIESGO BIOTECNOLÓGICO: ¿FICCIÓN O REALIDAD?

Abstract

Resumen: ¿Cuál es el precio que la humanidad debe pagar por el progreso tecnológico? En este trabajo se cuestiona que la biotecnología nos procure un progreso moral. Para ello se ve su relación con la ciencia y su preeminencia sobre ella. Se analiza luego la biotecnología aplicada a la agricultura, confrontando algunos datos con la certeza de su inocuidad proclamada tanto desde los ámbitos especializa-dos como de los económico-políticos. Abstract :Which is the price humanity must pay for technological progress? This article arises the question whether technology secures a moral progress, and asks what kind of relation has been established with science and its preeminence over science itself. Then follows the analysis of biotechnology applied to agriculture: confronting some data to the certainty of its innocuousness proclaimed both from specialized fields as well as from economical and political domains.
