ABORDAGENS CIENTÍFICAS SOBRE AS CAUSAS DA CRIMINALIDADE VIOLENTA: UMA ANÁLISE DA TEORIA DA ECOLOGIA HUMANA

Abstract

Resumo: Este artigo objetiva-se a apresentar seis abordagens científicas que explicam as causas da criminalidade violenta: Teorias focadas nas patologias individuais, Teoria da Desorganização Social, Teoria Estrutural-Funcionalista do Desvio e da Anomia, Teoria da Associação Diferencial e do Aprendizado Cultural, Teoria do Controle, Teoria da Ecologia Humana. A metodologia baseou-se em levantamento bibliográfico. A pesquisa mostrou que cada teoria analisada têm a sua contribuição específica, apesar de algumas apresentarem conteúdo estigmatizante. Nesse sentido, ressalta-se que essas teorias precisam ser analisadas considerando-se o contexto histórico no qual foram elaboradas. Dentre as teorias que explicam as causas da criminalidade violenta, a Ecologia Humana é a que mais se aproxima das abordagens geográficas, pois as hipóteses que a fundamentam baseiam-se em elementos presentes no espaço geográfico que condicionam a ocorrência criminal. Palavras-chave: Geografia, Ecologia Humana, crime, violência. Abstract: This paper aims to present six scientific approaches article explaining the causes of violent crime: focused theories on individual pathologies, Theory of Social Disorganization, structural-functionalist theory of deviation and Anomie, Theory of Differential Association and the Cultural Learning, theory of control, theory of Human Ecology. The methodology was based on literature. Research has shown that each analyzed theory have their specific contribution, although some present stigmatizing content. In this sense, it is emphasized that these theories must be analyzed considering the historical context in which they were developed. Among the theories that explain the causes of violent crime, Human Ecology is the one that comes closest geographical approaches because the assumptions that underlie based on elements present in the geographic space that influence the criminal occurrence. Keywords: Geography, Human Ecology, crime, violence.
