Abstract

A surface coated with TS-1 mullite fibre was prepared. From this material, a copper containing zeolite catalyst was produced by ion exchange, that was more active for carbon monoxide oxidation reaction than the noble metal containing supported catalysts. By combining the copper containing catalyst with rhodium and ceria, a catalyst for carbon monoxide oxidation and nitric oxide reduction reactions, superior in activity to noble metals supported catalysts were prepared. © 1996 Elsevier Science B.V.
