In the twenty-first century, technology has improved to the point that digital information resources more varied. Students must develop information literacy skills to solve problems effectively and efficiently. Information literacy skills can be enhanced using of many learning models, one of which is RICOSRE. The RICOSRE learning model is comprised of learning activities that enable students to enrich and collect data. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of RICOSRE learning model via an online platform on students' information literacy skills. This study belonged to a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group. The population of this study consisted of all tenth-grade students from public high schools in Malang. Three tenth-grade classes from the science department at Senior High School 1 Singosari and three tenth-grade classes from the science department at Senior High School 7 Malang were included in the sample. RICOSRE was used to facilitate the experimental class, PBL was used to facilitate the positive control class, and conventional learning was used to facilitate the negative control class. The research instruments consisted of learning tools and essay tests. The research data were in pretest and posttest scores measured using an information literacy skills rubric adapted from the Association of America Colleges and Universities. ANCOVA and LSD tests were performed for data analysis. The study results showed that the online platform-based RICOSRE learning model affected students' information literacy skills. RICOSRE students achieved a more significant percentage of gain in skills than PBL or conventional students. Students whose learning was supported by RICOSRE increased their information literacy skills by 91.04%. This finding implies that RICOSRE delivered online can enhance students' information literacy skills.
