Abstract
Abstrak Perancangan double-pipe heat exchanger telah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membandingkan nilai overall heat transfer coefficient dari perancangan double pipe heat exchanger dengan hasil output software HTRI. Nilai overall heat transfer coefficient pada proses hitung manual didapatkan sebesar 221,53 W/m 2 K. Proses perancangan dengan software HTRI dilakukan dengan cara menginput data-data dari kasus perancangan ke dalam software. Dari hasil running didapatkan hasil overall heat transfer coefficient sebesar 213,58 W/m 2 K. Kedua hasil heat transfer coefficient ini jika dibandingkan menghasilkan deviasi sebesar 3,67%. Hasil deviasi ini dinilai sangat baik dikarenakan jauh dibawah nilai deviasi yang ditargetkan pada penelitian ini, yaitu ≤ 30%. Dapat dikatakan bahwa software HTRI sangat membantu sebagai alat validasi dan pelengkap pada proses perancangan heat exchanger. This study aimed to compare the overall heat transfer coefficient from the double pipe heat exchanger design with the HTRI software output results. The overall heat transfer coefficient value in the manual calculation process is 221.53 W/m 2 K. The design process with HTRI software was carried out by inputting data from design cases into the software. From the running results, the overall heat transfer coefficient is 213.58 W/m2K. The results compared to produce a deviation of 3.67%. The results of this deviation are considered very good because it is far below the deviation value targeted in this study, which is ≤ 30%. The HTRI software is beneficial as a validation tool and a complement to the heat exchanger design process.
