Abstract

The OEIS Complex is an acronym in English that refers to a combination of defects that include (Omphalocele, Extrophy bladder, Imperforated anus, Spinal defects) is a rare polymorphic malformation. Its worldwide prevalence has been estimated between 0.04 % in newborns or 1 case per 200 000 - 400 000 pregnancies, with a male/female ratio of 1:2. We describe the case of a 17-year-old pregnant woman with a 21-week pregnancy with an antenatal diagnosis of an OEIS complex evaluated by ultrasound in the "Dr. Freddy Guevara Zuloaga" of the Hospital Universitario de Caracas. The pregnancy culminated spontaneously in fetal death at 26 weeks of gestation. A pathological study was correlated with antenatal ultrasound and postnatal radiological findings. A review of the literature regarding the case is carried out.
