Abstract
The difficulties of assigning cultural affiliation or temporality to archaeological items has led to archaeologists using complex technologies. In the present case, the manufacturing techniques of objects made from mollusks shells is examined using experimental archaeology and the analysis of evidence of working using scanning electron microscopy. This is of special interest for those collections which lack direct evidence of production.
