Abstract
Nonwovens have made significant inroads in replacing traditional upholstery and bedding materials, due to the advantages of low cost and good reliability. Applications include internal construction in upholstered furniture, bedding, wall coverings, carpeting and window treatments. This article illustrates the continuing success of nonwovens in this sector and discusses the challenge for manufacturers to find new applications and so to step into the forefront of home fashion.
