Abstract
The concept of acceptance has both research and clinical significance. There may be two types of acceptance leading to different health outcomes. By assessing their level and type of acceptance, clinicians could provide patients with appropriate treatments to encourage 'active' acceptance, thereby leading to positive health outcomes. © 2013 The Author.
