Activación térmica de bentonitas para su utilización como puzolanas

Abstract

The reactivity of two calcined bentonites from different regions of Argentina for use as pozzolanic additions to Portland cement were analyzed. Through techniques of XRD, IR spectroscopy, tests of lime consumption and mechanical strength were relations structural changes, occurring during heat treatment, with pozzolanic behavior.
