Abstract

The reality of archaeological site of San Mamés's city (Aroche, Huelva) is today widely covered in the scientific world. Nevertheless the questions regarding Rome's implantation process and the model that developed, as well as the historical problematic concerning the toponymies of Arucci Turobriga has seen a new interpretation thanks to the last research. This explained by a single topographical reality and the legal proceeding taking place in order to establish the administrative aggregation of the former regarding the latter. This way everything seems to indicate that we would be before the development of our implantation process based on a synoecism process that will see the emergence of a new foundation in the Llanos due to the territorial and administrative readjustments in the mutatio oppidium of the Celtic settlement of the territory around the last decades of the 1st century B.C.
