Abstract

The paper deals with the rapid determination of the boundary of stability regions which has been the only time-consuming step in transient stability studies by Lyapunov's criterion. Three realistic examples, namely a 5-, a 9- and a 15-machine system illustrate and confirm the proposed procedure.
