Early childhood Students’ Science Literacy at PAUD Taman Sari Banyuasin

Abstract

The aims of this study is to describe the scientific ability of early childhood in Group B PAUD Taman Sari Banyuasin. The research method used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis. The population in this study were all of students’ in Group B in PAUD Taman Sari Banyuasin. The sample used in this study amounted to 15 students with the technique of taking samples using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique in this study used an observation sheet. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. The results showed that the scientific literacy ability of Group B students’ in PAUD Taman Sari Banyuasin was in the sufficient category with a percentage value of 60%. Based on the results of the research, the scientific literacy skills of early childhood in PAUD Taman Sari I Banyuasin Regency are in the sufficient category so that it needs to be developed in order to achieve the very good category. It is suggested for further researchers to improve scientific literacy skills in the learning process by applying various methods and learning media.
