Abstract

This paper aims to examine and determine the current features of musicotherapy associations in Turkey and other countries. Research data is collected by document review and analyzed using content analysis. The sample is investigated considering associations such as Japanese Music Therapy Association (JMTA), Indian Association of Music Therapy (IAMT), Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and British Association for Music Therapy (BAMT), and Turkish associations such as Music Therapy Association (MÜZTED) and Applied Music Therapy Association (UMTED). Then, their establishment goals, work schedules, and aims are identified. Some of these associations give education at master level when a certain part offers certificate programs. In general, the common conclusion is that these associations desire to reach a worldwide vision.
