Abstract

The sawfy Cimbex quadrimaculata (Müller) (Hymenoptera: Cimbicidae) has been identified as a serious defoliator of young almond plants in Antalya. Two ichneumonid parasitoids, Opheltes glaucopterus (Linnaeus) and Phobetes nigriceps (Gravenhorst) (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Ctenopelmatinae), were reared as larva-pupa parasitoids of C. quadrimaculata. Of these, P. nigriceps was obtained for the first time from C. quadrimaculata; it is a new record for the Turkish fauna as well as for the continent of Asia. © TÜBİTAK.
