Abstract

This research investigates the relationship between real-time data sustainability, smart digital technologies, and the citizen-driven Internet of Things. Building my argument by drawing on data collected from Black & Veatch, ESI ThoughtLab, KPMG, and Osborne Clarke, I performed analyses and made estimates regarding expected benefits from a smart city (%). The data for this research were gathered via an online survey questionnaire and were analyzed through structural equation modeling on a sample of 4,600 respondents.
