Abstract

The third of four articles devoted to the basic operational areas or constructs of competitive intelligence (CI) which is increasingly attracting attention throughout the world as a strategic management tool. In this article attention is paid to the analysis activity of CI. It is during this phase that information on a company's competitors and the competitive environment is analysed and interpreted using various tools and techniques. Recaps the key operational areas and their role and function. The first two articles covered the planning and focus and collection areas of CI.
