Abstract
The change of crystalline structure and magnetic properties of MnxCo1-xFe2O4 (x = 0 and 0.25) is studied in this paper. This samples are synthesized by coprecipitation method and annealed at 1000°C for 5 hours. Then the samples are characterized using XRD and VSM. The XRD results confirm that addition of doping Mn2+ (x = 0.25) cations on CoFe2O4 nanoparticles increase for both the lattice constants and the crystallite sizes. However the lattice strains decrease with substitute of the Mn2+ cations. Samples with x = 0 have crystallite size of 36.68 nm, and 46.39 nm for x = 0.25. The lattice constant increase from 8.38 Å to 8.43 Å for substitute of the Mn2+ cations. The different of the atomic radius should be reason the crystalline parameters modification. The magnetic properties of the magnetic nano particles shown by vibrating samples magnetometer (VSM). The saturation magnetization i.e., MS = 36.80 emu/g increases of MS = 39.13 emu/g with the presence of Mn2+. However the coercive field HC decrease from 577.56 Oe to 450.72 Oe. The decrease of the lattice strain in the magnetic nano particles MnxCo1-xFe2O4 systems should be contribute the change of the HC.
