Abstract
The main objective of this research study is to integrate the use of technological tools for experimental sciences (e.g. physics) in teacher training processes. A teaching proposal is built on the basis of the Vergnaud's Theory of Conceptual Fields, in which the data acquisition (DAQ) system is implemented in physics laboratory courses taken by the students enrolled in the biological science teacher program. The results show that DAQ improves student conceptualization processes in representation evolution. It is concluded that implementing the proposal presented here in the initial stages and throughout the entire biological science teacher program can contribute to conceptualization in physics and to endorsing technological systems (e.g. DAQ) used in science.
