Abstract

A study of the influence of walls and corners in the evolution of two-dimensional autooscillating fields described by the complex Ginzburg-Landau equation was performed. It was observed that the Dirichlet walls introduced strong selection mechanisms for the wave pattern. It was seen that additional synchronization mechanisms associated with the selection criteria was provided by corners between walls.
