Aprendiendo en línea Lengua de Signos Española: Anaílisis de la satisfacción del alumnado sordo y oyente en una experiencia realizada en la modalidad semipresencial

Abstract

In the last years, in Spain, as other many countries in the world, several state or regional laws have been promulgated in order to recognize sign language as an official language in the whole country. International Postgraduate School of University of Granada (Spain), at the request of the Didactic and Scholar Organization Department and the International Research Group Educative Technology and Social Research, have designed, developed and evaluated an on-line course called Specialization in Spanish sign language and interpretation applied to face-to-face and virtual learning (level A). This evaluation is carried out in the previously explained regulatory context and taking into account the need of teaching this subject to people in general and to educational professionals specifically. This paper submits qualitative results about the second edition of the course. They are based on the analysis of the answers provided by students in the open-ended questionnaire in order to evaluate the level of satisfaction. The content study has enabled us to describe the living experiences of deaf and non-deaf people in an inclusive virtual environment. The results confirm the relevance of increasing the design and development of the experimental education programs for people with disability in inclusive and accessible virtual environment, specially adapted to their peculiarity.
