Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of methods for assessing the complexity of the development of various software products. One of the most popular methods - COCOMO II - was selected for the study. In this work, a brief description of the COCOMO II method is given, and an assessment of the labor intensity is carried out on real projects. Based on the results of the analysis, it is revealed in which cases the selected method show the smallest forecast error, and the reasons for error indicators are explained. Based on the research results, it is concluded that applying COCOMO II for assessing labor intensity of mobile software gives significantly worse result than that of traditional personal computer application.
