Abstract
This article evaluates welfare reform in Florida, focusing on the passage of WAGES and the impact on welfare workers. The authors, maintaining WAGES emphasizes support services for employment preparation, discusses the welfare case workers ability to make the transition, concluding that welfare case workers are often eager to identify with welfare reform but struggle with ambiguous policy changes.
