Abstract

Geopark Silokek is a tourist destination located in Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra. There are several obstacles and problems in the development of natural tourism at the Geopark Silokek, such as the lack of human resources and the lack of optimal management of the potential for natural tourism objects and attractions, so it is necessary to assess the feasibility of natural tourism objects and attractions (ODTWA). This study aims to assess the feasibility of the potential objects and natural tourist attractions of the Geopark Silokek. Collect data using interviews, observation, and literature study. The sample from the manager was chosen purposively, while the sample from the visitor was chosen randomly. The criteria and elements of a potential ODTWA are evaluated using the Director General of PHKA's guidelines. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that the Geopark Silokek has ODTWA potential in the form of natural tourism, artificial tourism, and special interest tourism. The index for attractiveness criteria is 81,3%, accessibility is 83,3%, supporting facilities and infrastructure are 90%, and marketing is 100%. In general, the feasibility index of the Geopark Silokek natural tourism is 88,6%, so that it is included in the level of feasible development.
