Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy of extract Ageratum conyzoides as a biological herbicide and to determine weed shifts after application of Ageratum conyzoides extract as a pre-emergence herbicide. The study was arranged in a randomized block design with 0%, 1%, 3%, 5% and 7% treatment of Ageratum conyzoides extract. The results obtained showed a shift in weeds from before application on anaveg 1 and after application of Ageratum conyzoidez extract on anaveg 2 such as Oplismenus hirtellus, Tradescantia fluminensis, Mentha longifolia, Axonopus compressus, Achyranthes aspera, Rupertia physodes, and Centrosena pubescers bent which did not grow returned after the application of Ageratum conyzoides extract. The weeds that dominated in anavge 1 were Oplismenus hirtellus with an SDR value of 15.20 while in anaveg 2 namely weed Spigelia anthelmia with an SDR value of 26.81. This shows that the allelopathic/alelochemical substances contained in Ageratum conyzoidez have an effect on grasses weeds, and effect on the growth some of broad-leaved weeds
