Abstract

This descriptive study analyzes Spanish forensic psychologists' (N = 64) rating of criteria proposed in the scientific literature to assess relocation cases after parents' separation. Our results showed that forensic psychologists gave a high importance to evaluation criteria suggested, giving a lower ranking to criteria related to infrastructural, economic, and cultural aspects. Regarding the technical advice on the convenience or inconvenience of the relocation, it is observed that professionals reported favorably to the change of residence only in few occasions, showing a trend to maintain the statu quo.
