Some dinoflagellate cysts from the lower cretaceous of spitsbergen

Abstract

The dinoflagellate cysts Borcocysta isfiordica sp. nov. and Gongylodinium acmeum sp. nov. from the Valanginian of Spitsbergen are described and the new combinations Cribroperidinium spinoreticulatum and Cyclonephelium cuculliforme are proposed. Some taxonomic and biostratigraphic comments on other taxa from the Lower Cretaceous of Spitsbergen are also presented. © 1992, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
