Abstract
The patient under mechanical ventilation and with a thracheostomy loses the ability to communicate orally, there are certain safe and effective strategies to reverse this situation and their stay can be more functional and comfortable, thus avoiding dysphagia associated with mechanical ventilation and negative repercussions associated with the lack of communication.
