Abstract

Self-concept is a very important construct for the complete and correct development of children in the last stage of Primary Education. The issue of school violence or bullying is also very important, as it is something that can affect school children very deeply. The main objective of the present investigation is to analyze the relationship between both constructs. To do this, we had a sample of 320 students of fifth and sixth year of Primary Education (M = 11.64, D.T. = .505), belonging to an Andalusian province. It is concluded that there is an indirect relationship between self-concept and aggressiveness, so it can be said that having a high self-concept will reduce the aggressiveness of a subject, in the same way that a low self-concept will increase this aggressiveness.
