Abstract
The variety of clinical manifestations that may be presented by patients with neurofibromatosis, added to the need of establishing the diagnosis based only in clinical findings, demand a great understanding of this pathology by the physicians of different fields. This article presents a global notion about the disease, from its etiology to its treatment, emphasizing the clinical features, which are essential to its identification.
