Abstract
Covering the intellectual and social context in which therapy takes place, the means and ends of therapy and the role of therapy in society, this book draws upon philosophy's understanding of ethics and the psychological literature to focus on the role of the therapist as ethicist, and how the ethical convictions of both therapists and client contribute to the practical process of therapy.
