Abstract

In the UK pulmonary rehabilitation is not a well-recognised therapy for patients with COPD. However, there is evidence to support its effectiveness and therefore a review of literature was undertaken to explore its benefits and limitations in the treatment of this disabling disease. The results showed that an improved quality of life for patients is achievable.
