Abstract

The legislative introduction of Electronic Voting (E-Voting) is conditional upon respect for traditional requirements (general, free, equal, direct and secret) that define the right to vote as a civil right. Moreover, the objective dimension of this right converts this legislative introduction into an “optimization command”, if this measure favours its exercise. These premises will be analysed with regard to both in-person and absentee voting.
