Abstract

Referring to an editorial informing readers of the South African (SA) position in relation to other countries around the world in the Global Status Report on Violence Prevention 2014 and an Izindaba article featuring the harsh lives of SA's children, the Editor looks at the scale of physical, sexual and/or psychological abuse suffered by children, and its long-term effects.
