Abstract
The paper is devoted to the study of the potential capabilities of information technologies during the implementation of the continuity of mathematical education. The methodological basis of the study were the main provisions of the continuity of education and informatization of education. Such methods as analysis and synthesis, as well as system and structural-functional approaches, were used in the analysis of the problem. Analysis of the problem of the implementation of continuity of mathematical education showed that when teaching mathematics, didactic capabilities of information technologies might be implemented to a greater extent than during the study of other subject areas. Potential capabilities of information technologies during the implementation of the continuity of mathematical education. The identified potential capabilities are demonstrated by the example of solving problems of algebra and precalculus in the GeoGebra interactive environment. The study conducted showed that mathematical packages that allow solving problems of both school and university courses of mathematics might act as an effective tool for solving the problem of continuity of mathematical education. Students are able to gain experience in solving problems using software already at the level of secondary education, which will be in demand in the course of the continuation of mathematical education at the university.
