The data collection took place in may 2016, in the Lilacs, PubMed and Scopus database, making use of the search terms ((prenatal care or pregnant women) and (HIV or Acquired Immunode-ficiency Syndrome)). 57 studies with evidence level between 2 to 6 were selected. Results: Data analysis allowed us to evaluate the evidence in terms of care strategies: counseling; anti-HIV testing; viral load count; nutritional support, antiretroviral therapy; partner inclusion in the prenatal period; reproductive planning; home visit; educational actions, professional training; the implementation of the integrated system of information; selection of child delivery method.
