Abstract

In this study, questionary investigation about the relinquishment of the driver license that was not examined enough till now is conducted in Tsuyama city, Okayama prefecture to hold many villages. Then, this study aims to analyze the time when the resident wants to relinquish the driver license and intentional relinquishment of the driver license in various situations focus on individual attribution and residence characteristic. As a result, it is clarified that not only sex or age but also residence characteristic such as the bus service level influenced intentional relinquishment of the driver license greatly. In addition, this study shows the possibility that the relinquishment of the driver license is promoted by improvement of the bus service than change of situations about residence and resident oneself.
