Abstract

The flute is a musical instrument classied as a woodwind instrument. Among the various types, the transverse flute has this name because the breath is transverse to the length of the flute. In this paper, we analyze the sound spectrum of this type of flute, identify the most intense harmonics in the formation of the timbre of the instrument for several musical notes of the diatonic scale, and reproduce the shape of the sound wave based on the resulting spectrum.
